3GPP Interoperability Guaranteed

Ensuring the interoperability of commercially available products is vital. The late identification of non-conformance will, in the very least, jeapordise the entire project with the potential risk of costly long term damage to brand image and reputation.

The interpretation and implementation of open standards can differ significantly from company to company. Without subscribing to thorough testing programs it is impossible to ensure seamless interoperability. Testing against reference streams only, whilst indicative, is high risk as essential test cases are bypassed making a 100% guarantee impossible.

About IMTC

Joining IMTC in spring 2002 and participating in the very first round of IMTC interoperability tests, Hantro has successfully participated in several rounds of testing. The tests contain offline, online and face-to-face tests. The test specifications are based on 3GPPs Packet-Switched Streaming Services (PSS) specification TS26.234. About MPEGIF

MPEGIF undertakes extensive interoperability tests of different aspects of MPEG-4. The tests include systems layer, video coders, and audio coders and incorporate both offline exchange using the MP4 file format and real-time streaming according to the ISMA 1.0 specification. Hantro has been an active participant in MPEGIF since 2002. More information can be found from www.mpegif.org
